Abstract:

This research examines Lavoura Arcaica, by the writer Raduan Nassar, from an interdisciplinary perspective that favors dialogue between theories of social and literary sciences. That examination seeks to cross the narrative from a perspective that prioritizes life in its flow and wholeness. For this, at first, it establishes the theoretical and methodological foundations that go through this analysis. Still at this early stage, it explores the moment of reflection traversed by literary studies and new investigative possibilities that arise from an alleged crisis of criticism. Then undertakes a study about the body, showing its importance to the narrative and the epistemological and paradigmatic changes that the body, as subject, passed during the history of philosophy and Western theory, including in the field of religion. Finally, we discuss the issue of sexuality, considering the offending practices of André, and establishing the relationship that this notion of violation has with the civilizing process. At this point, we also addresses the issue of learning and skills development in the context of sexuality.
