JORGE MAUTNER E SEUS MÚLTIPLOS NA ESCRITA AUTOBIOGRÁFICA

Jorge Mautner’s literary production is signaled by an intense autobiographical presence, where the author, the narrator and the character blend themselves in the rain that wets the narrative, giving life to the writing dressed by the cover of strangeness, a strangeness that result in incomprehension. If by one side the autobiographical intensity that blends itself with the narrative making the writing flow like a river, on the other side, this same autobiographical intensity results on the birth of the author’s multiselves. This research understands that as a nomenclature that inscribes itself in the author through the autobiographical aspect and as an interview that reveals the presence of this multiple as well. This research consists on the mapping of these selves of the author, poet, composer and singer that also dialogues with philosophy and cinema. In order to make this mapping of the multi-selves of Jorge Mautner, I will investigate two books by him: Jorge Mauther, The Son of the Holocaust: Memoirs (1941 to 1958) and God of the Rain and of the Death, highlighting that other works by him will be used as well such as Khaos and poems that migrated to lyrics. Among the multiples mapped by this thesis, the Khaos, the rain and the marginal deserved special attention because they are nomenclatures that follow the author beginning one half of the 1950’s, when he began to write the Trilogy of Khaos. The lyrical poet was also revealed as a multiple in the large estate of his poetical production.
